Iced Tea
I don't understand why more people don't have this in the fridge when you visit. Its cheap, fast to make and much better than anything you can get out of a bottle.   Click Here for a Close Up!

Makes 3 liters or almost 3 quarts.

I love iced tea in the summer and always have a couple of pitchers of it in the fridge. It is also good with a bit of vodka in it!

3 liters or 2 1/2 quarts water
4 msk. or 4 tbls. (20gr. or 3/4oz. )
or
4 tea bags
loose tea (English Breakfast or Earl Grey) but you can try your own blend.
200 gr. or 7.5 oz.
(2.5dl. or 1 generous cup)
plain white sugar
1 1/2 to 2 1/2 Juice of 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 lemons (strained) or to taste.

Assembling the recipe:

Take 2 large glasses of the water and the sugar, place in a  pot and bring to a boil to dissolve the sugar.

Remove from the heat and add the tea. Cover and let sit for 10 to 15 minutes.

Strain through a coffee filter if you were using loose tea or squeeze out the tea bags and throw away.

Add the remaining water and stir.

Add the lemon juice tasting as you go until it is the right tartness for you!

Place in the fridge to get cold.

Serve over lots of ice with a slice or wedge of lemon.

Notes:

When you add the second batch of water - let the tap run until it is really cold. It will help cool off the tea more quickly in the fridge.

Try your own tea blend, there are plenty that will make great iced tea. Keep in mind that the tea needs to have a good hearty flavor. Light teas like Green tea iced don't sound very appealing, although I have never tried it.

Remember this is how I like it, you are free to adjust the amount of lemon or sugar to your taste.
