Apple Galette

This is a simple recipe that can be used whenever you find you have too many apples, berries, plums or almost any fruits.   Click here for a larger image of my Apple Galette

Serves 6 to 8

recipe for short pastry Paté Brisee #2

medium size green apples such as Granny Smith

 

Juice of one lemon (citron), half for the galette and half for the water to put the apples in – see below.

2 tsk. or 2 teas.

ground cinnamon (kanel)

¼tsk. or ¼teas.

ground clove (Kryddnejlika)

 

lemon (citronskal)

½ grated rind of ½

sugar

45gr. or ¼ cup

A light grating of nutmeg (musknot)

2 tsk or 2 teas.

cornflour (Mazina)

 

Apricot marmalade to glaze the apples
