The yellow, rhombic fenugreek seed is frequently used in the preparation of pickles, curry powders and pastes. This herb is used in the making of sauces, soups, stews and is used commercially in the making of imitation maple, vanilla and butterscotch flavors. |

| Fenugreek is mainly used as a digestive aid. Peanut or chickpea allergy: Fenugreek is in the same family with peanuts and chickpeas, and may cause an allergic reaction in susceptible individuals. Two cases of fenugreek allergy have been reported in literature. | |||||
