Why I do this!
My
friends are for the most part not cooking people, they are eating
people, (you know who you are!). They are professionals, working
for a living, and some of them have the most outrageous working
hours I have seen. If the restaurant food they live on doesn't kill
them the hours they work will. Well, that's just modern life I guess.
So I hope that this helps out a bit when they find themselves at
home and in need if a new idea, without eating the same 10 things
for the next 20 years. If nothing we are all creatures of habit
and of course the best habits are the one least likely to be of
any good for us.
I
also hope that this site will help when you entertain and are desperate
for a new idea or two. I am not by nature a desert person but I
will include the ones that I like, which usually rely being beautiful
and classic and don't take a life time to make.
So
I hope for those of you who visit this site I have helped you out,
and for those of you who just keep waiting around for an invitation
to another dinner hopefully the recipes remind you of some of our
good times together.
I
have made this site myself using basic html language, so there is
no fancy database for finding things. I have tried to organize it
like I would a book with chapters and then recipes. I have tried
to get translated most things from Swedish into English and vice
versa so that my American friends can use it as well. Weights and
measures are given in both forms, metric and pounds and ounces,
so are temperatures.
A
note on notes: I am terrific at making notes at the bottom of all
the recipes. Sometimes too terrific! I know most of my friends don't
really cook a great deal but want to. So I try and give as much
information concerning the preparation of the recipes can here.
So if they are a bit wordy (is that a word?) forgive me.
